I produced a video for the track "Sozinho num Suicídio Coletivo" by Ruído Roído @ruidoroidoband, a piece of instrumental music inspired by the climate emergency.
The video was presented live at the band's new album release concert on May 25, 2024, at @gnration, Braga, Portugal.
With the help of stable video, an artificial intelligence video service, I developed scenes that depict a world of chaos: skeletons walk among us while, weirdly, life follows its ordinary course; the chain method of deforestation has odd behaviour, as the chain all of a sudden has got some moves; a visual duel between a Vespa velutina, deemed an invader & predator in Europe, and land owners who take down forests to expand monocultures. Ruído Roído is a Portuguese indie band that released their new album, "O Êxtase do Silêncio", in May 2024.
In collaboration with gnration—a power hub for Media Arts located in Braga, Portugal—and the Master's in Media Arts at the University of Minho @mestradomediaarts_uminho, the duo worked with the students and professors to provide a feast for the audience's senses during the album release concert.
The event combined music, visuals developed by the students and scenic design by @vania_kosta.
