This is a work-in-progress for my Master´s in Media Arts project.
The general idea was inspired by a diagram presented by www.envisioning.io, in which varied horizontal lines represented the past and the future and were separated by one vertical line, standing for the present. Those lines before the present could not be changed. The lines to the right of the present led to different outcomes based on our choices. The past was unavailable to us. The future was filled with opportunities.
Now, working on my Master´s project, I revisited the concept and associated it with the natural world, precisely the flow of a river.

This is a media art piece produced with Processing, with the aid of chatGPT. I specified that the flow of horizontal lines on the left of a violet vertical line (the present) would be featured in black and white because they are the past and cannot be accessed anymore. The future is colourful and filled with options.
I adjusted the deviation code to generate four variations of a video. Then, I organized the four variations to cover the composition in After Effects (4320x2160).
After that, I added sound, a licensed track from soundstripe.com.
